Position Summary

A senior role within Oceaneering's Commercial Team supporting the offshore Geoscience Survey business group within the Subsea Robotics (SSR) Business Segment. This role will lead Oceaneering's Geoscience Commercial Team, adhering to compliance with internal processes, carry out continuous quality control, identify and mitigate risks associated with tendering activities as well as develop the Commercial Team's competencies and ability to deliver the broad range of commercial support the business requires. This role is a key interface between numerous support functions including, but not limited to, Operations, Pricing Managers & Executive Management, Sales, Business Development, SCM, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Compliance, Contracts, Service Excellence, HSE and QA. This is a leadership role, responsible for mentoring personnel, overseeing and supporting the day-to-day commercial activities within the department to ensure deadlines are properly met while in line with the departments stated global commercial process. This role provides leadership and input into commercial output for SSR & OPG products and services.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL


* Monitor for and receive commercial requests for service (bids & proposals, existing contract renegotiation, commercial clarifications, contract award verification ect), delegate commercial tasks to commercial team members to ensure personnel resources are fully utilized, support / oversee, and verify such tasks are completed properly and on time. When warranted, conduct same commercial tasks in support of the business.
* Oversee & support teammates to ensure all commercial activities are conducted in accordance with the SSR & OPG Global Commercial Process.
* Lead the commercial analysis and input into tenders including but not limited to,


o Input of pricing strategies for tenders.
o Production of commercial documentation for support and completion of tenders.
o Interface with business line managers, sales, and other departments regarding pricing estimates and all matters commercial in respect of tenders.

* Oversee and / or conduct final compilation, document control and delivery of tender documents to meet deadlines.
* Provide feedback into market trends and technical / operational requirements to internal groups as / if required.
* Define bid specific strategy, pricing and commercial terms and conditions to achieve desired outcome for OII.
* Build cost estimates for large complex offshore service scopes (including offshore vessel-based services, lump sum & day rate) in support of budgetary and formal proposals. Review, check and verify same as being completed by teammates.
* Analyze the commercial and technical elements of tender documents and prepare and negotiate qualifications as required.
* Adjust pricing and commercial terms and conditions during negotiation to achieve desired outcome for OII.
* Translate scope / project execution plan / schedule / pricing and commercial terms into a concluded contract.
* Execute day to day oversight and leadership with intercompany tender support groups, commercial team members and SSR / OPG Management in support of best possible outcome for OII.
* Set objectives and provide advice and guidance for Commercial team members as needed.
* Ensure compliance with company's policies, processes, and procedures regarding tender submissions.
* Review and negotiate contracts from a commercial and technical perspective as required.
* Attend and input into required Operations meetings and Commercial periodic reviews as required.
* Ensure the accurate and timely use of CommerciaLink for bid data and bid approvals.
* Obtain feedback on tenders (either through close out meetings or via feedback request forms) and collate data to trend reasons for successes and failures.
* Collaborate with all Oceaneering Tender Managers to ensure cross Business Segment and Business Group proposals, and bids in general, will result in the best result for the Oceaneering Enterprise.

Qualifications

REQUIRED


* Extensive knowledge base and understanding related to offshore O&G Geoscience service offerings and supporting commercial models, i.e., Geophysical, Geotechnical and Environmental surveys using towed conventional and AUVs / USVs.
* Minimum 7 years relevant commercial experience in offshore Oil & Gas service-related commercial activities within the full life cycle of the tender process and the preparation of bids & proposals etc., start to finish.
* Previous experience working in a commercial supervisory role.
* Experience negotiating O&G contracts with data products with IOCs.
* Extensive knowledge of financial concepts.

DESIRED


* Offshore / oilfield operational experience.
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), PMP Certification.
* Broad knowledge and experience of offshore O&G survey services.
* Knowledge of new technologies in the offshore Survey Industry, including remote / unmanned offerings
* Experience creating new pricing models for new technologies.
* Offshore or project management experience for Geoscience related services.
* Collaborated extensively with operational and technical SMEs to provide technical writing input with ability to quality check and provide feedback to technical SMEs.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
