As a Climate Industry Manager, you will stay abreast technical, political and societal advancements and trends and research and develop strategies that help organizations meet their climate change, sustainability and resilience goals by leveraging GIS. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make an impact across many sectors on advancing a sustainable world through, successful climate adaptation measures, reducing carbon emissions, developing effective climate mitigation plans, and raising the awareness of climate actions.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze and monitor relevant industry, technological, and financial trends where Esri technology can support market development to then capitalize on market opportunities
  • Deliver thought leadership present a public face of Esri through blogs, social media, and presentations
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant organizations, trade associations, user groups, and industry thought leaders that further Esri's mission
  • Support strategic sales opportunities as a subject matter expert and work with account managers to drive penetration in key accounts
  • Synchronize and integrate marketing and sales plans into annual global business development plans to coordinate resourcing and execution
  • Work with channels and sales enablement team members to align and collaborate with multiple Esri teams including marketing, sales, product development, international distributors, training, and partner teams to successfully deliver campaigns and ensure awareness of industry marketing programs
  • Collaborate across marketing, business development, and professional services teams for identification of industry-specific solutions requirements and the development of industry offers

Requirements

  • Widely known, respected, and influential in your industry
  • 8+ years of experience at key science, environment, or climate organizations with demonstrated geospatial innovation and advanced knowledge of software technology
  • 5+ years of executive leadership experience with the ability to strategize, inspire, and achieve goals
  • 5+ years of experience working in multi-discipline teams with proven ability to collaborate, communicate, and influence business and technical audiences
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and presentation abilities
  • Demonstrated understanding of marketing purpose and tactics
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally
  • Bachelor's in natural resources, environmental science, geography, GIS or similar field

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$104,000$176,800 USD
