2nd shift Forklift Operator (2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. $20.25 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential)

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Forklift Operator to be based out of Chino, CA Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this person will be responsible for operating the sit-down forklift, conducting 5S tasks, reworking steel bundles and broken pallets. Sustain the cleanliness of the facility. Rework and 5S tasks at the exterior of the facility (25% of the time).

What you'll do:

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operate a sit-down forklift
• 5S tasks
• Rework steel bundles
• Rework broken pallets
• Sustain the cleanliness of the facility
• Exterior rework and 5S tasks (25% of the time)
• Ensure tasks are performed according to standard operating procedures and regulations
• Warehouse organization
• Identify Safety Hazards in the workplace
• Attend the daily GEMBA meeting with management and other distribution employees
• Assist in meeting performance to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation goals

What you'll bring:

• 3 years experience driving a sit down forklift
• Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Good attendance and punctuality
• 5S experience a plus
• Detail oriented

Within 3 months, you'll:

• Complete all required training
• Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role
• Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations
