Midnight Oil (moagency.com), strategically located in "the heart of Hollywood" in Burbank, CA, is an extraordinary creative, and specialty print production partner to the majority of theatrical and streaming studios, with relationships often measured in terms of decades, not years. We uniquely and conveniently combine our Studio and Print Production capabilities all under one roof in our 120,000 square feet facility, with an Amtrak stop and the Burbank Airport directly across the street. Position Summary: The Motion Designer/Editor role will focus on supporting the Creative departments motion work through strategy, sales growth, process improvement, and execution.

Work Location: On-site at our Burbank, CA facility. M-F 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Work in Premiere and After Effects to create motion deliverables for client projects
  • Help develop new processes to allow for department capability scalability
  • Develop relationships with Account Team and key clients to establish/strengthen Midnight Oil's position as a goto for motion work
  • Support Midnight Oils internal and marketing efforts with video content
  • Learn and understand multiple brands and follow the unique visual identities for each
  • Represent Midnight Oil in a professional manner and make every effort to meet the needs of our clients

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of video editing/motion graphics and video production field experience
  • Proficient with the entire Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university in a related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Rich Media a plus
  • Self sufficient - ability to take a project and run with it
  • Work on very tight deadlines to meet client needs
  • Ability to multitask on various projects
  • Ability to or willingness to quickly learn
  • Collaborate well with other creative professionals including Creative Directors
  • Must be a collaborator with ability to give and receive constructive criticism
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple assignments

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasional walking.
  • Manual dexterity for skills such as keyboard entry.

The national pay range for this role is $100,000- $130,000 year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
