Material & Process Engineer III - Torrance, California
The Level III Engineer performs M&PE engineering tasks of moderate/high scope and complexity, focusing on applying the language and basic principles of MP&E, supporting internal Moog global customer needs, and improving Moog product materials, analytical approaches, and special processing.

Basic Qualifications:
* BS with 6 years related experience or MS with 4 years related experience in one of the following fields: Materials/Metallurgy, Industrial and Mechanical
* Familiarity or experience with either chemical and heat treatment NADCAP compliance and with AMS 2750 pyrometry requirements and compliance.
* Must have a strong fundamental knowledge of metallurgy and microstructures and familiar with material characterization and failure analysis techniques.
* Preferable industry experience with vacuum furnaces, and vacuum carburizing processing plus machine controls and instrumentation.
* Capable of performing metallurgical testing.
* Experience interfacing with engineering, manufacturing, and production personnel.
The base pay range for this opportunity is $79,955. - $147,617. per year. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
