Laser Process Engineer

Job Description:

A Senior Process Engineer to lead the support, improvement and capability of production and new device development. The successful candidate will lead thin film activities from design, deposition, lithography and characterization of the III-V semiconductor structures using wet and dry processing techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and monitor lithography/deposition/etch process control
  • Develop/improve tooling, fixtures and in situ monitoring techniques for use in lithography/deposition/etch work cells
  • Provide project leadership on thin film related projects, and technical consultation to the product development and process integration teams
  • Train and mentor engineers and technicians
  • Write and verify procedures and work instructions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics, Master's degree preferred
  • Ideally, at least 5 years of process development and manufacturing experience in thin film processing including hands-on experience with, FIB, RIE, RIE/ICP/ CAIBE, PECVD, IBE and SEM/FIB
  • Strong analytical capacity and diagnostic ability
  • Experience with statistical methods used in manufacturing, hands-on experience with DOE, SPC
  • Experience in ISO 9000 implementation
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
