Position Summary:

Responsible for the overall management of the outpatient clinical activities of the Department of Psychiatry clinics. Works closely with the department leadership, including the Chair, Vice Chair, and Chief Administrative Officer to ensure seamless operations related to directing and evaluating patient care activities, developing and monitoring clinical policies and procedures, and managing clinical resources, including supervising clinical support personnel. Works collaboratively with the departmental finance and education administrative team. Runs and distributes various clinical reports to ensure activities meet department and/or UCI Health expectations, such as cancellation reports, template utilization, and open encounters. Effectively communicates with team members and department leadership to improve patient operations and care.

$100,600.00 - $145,700.00 (Annual Salary) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $100,600.00 - $190,800.00 (Annual Salary)

Required:

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent combination of experience / training.

* 5 years of clinical practice management experience, 3+ years supervisory experience. * Demonstrated and proven clinic management experience, including thorough knowledge and experience with patient care operations in an ambulatory care environment. * RN, BSN, and/or MSN * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem * Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload * Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties * Strong analytical skills to collect and analyze operational data * Knowledge of relevant healthcare and clinic operations information technology, including billing systems and patient care workflows and processes. * Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR * Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * High level of customer service at all times. * Demonstrates strong and effective interpersonal skills, including positive and effective communication skills. * Demonstrated managerial skills and human resources management knowledge, including staff deployment, resource utilization, quality improvement, and program planning and implementation. * An approach to working with colleagues that enhances collaboration. * Strong organizational skills, including the ability to maintain files and process paperwork in a timely manner. * Ability to negotiate multilayered regulatory systems, and manage competing priorities, and if unable to do so, the ability to seek guidance from the supervisor. * Ability to use problem-solving skills in a tactful and diplomatic manner. * Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends or holidays.


Preferred:

* Bilingual - Spanish and English * Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms. Demonstrated managerial skills and human resources management knowledge, including staff deployment, resource utilization, budgeting and financial management, quality improvement, and program planning and implementation. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to convey complex information, instructions, and guidelines in a clear, concise, and specific manner, and to influence and persuade all levels of staff. Knowledge of relevant healthcare and clinic operations information technology, including billing systems and patient care workflows and processes. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing, and compliance environments.
