Working under general supervision, the Financial Analyst will work on aspects of King's Hawaiian entities related to Company strategic growth initiatives and special projects, as well as the financial planning and analysis process to support decision making in line with the Strategic Plan for King's Hawaiian Bakery. Additionally, the position will be an integral part of the Finance team, contributing to monthly reporting and analysis, annual budgeting, and developing an overall finance strategy for the organization. This position will be exposed to senior leaders at King's Hawaiian and is expected to contribute to higher-level projects that will inform the analysis of future business decisions. Employees in this position may interact with their leader several times a week to receive guidance and feedback. Some non-routine activities may require their leader's advance approval, but routine decisions within the general scope of the role may be made independently.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Senior Financial Analysts to develop a detailed annual plan and the latest estimate (LE) for King's Hawaiian entities.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and meaningful financial analysis of variances between actuals, forecast, budget, and prior year.
  • Analyze and monitor trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures. Provide explanations and recommendations for variance.
  • Support creating three statement financials.
  • Provide financial data and analytical support cross functionally.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements.
  • Maintain and load plan and most current estimates into ERP system (SAP).
  • Participate in new business proposals, analysis of requirements, and project planning and execution.
  • Perform dd hoc reporting.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college in Finance (or related field) or equivalent relevant experience required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proficient numerical, analytical, and modeling skills.
  • Ability to participate in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication abilities to all levels of the organization.

Compensation Range: $62,500 - $87,500
