Under general supervision, the Senior Business Systems Analyst supports the People (Human Resources) function to document and analyze business processes and requirements to deliver effective, scalable, and sustainable technology solutions. This position will work closely with business partners and consultants to provide systems support and improvement initiatives throughout the systems life cycle, including business requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and administrator support. Principal business outcomes of this position include maximizing HR systems effectiveness, streamlined people processes through technology, and an elevated user experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Continually analyze business processes and develop new and enhanced workflows for multiple functional areas, including but not limited to, recruiting, core HCM, compensation, benefits, talent management, time & attendance, and absence.
  • Solution Workday functionality including Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Compensation, Time Tracking, Absence, Reporting and Dashboards
  • Deliver effective solutions that incorporate best practices, enhance the user experience, and are designed to scale
  • Identify, track, and resolve issues and defects within Workday
  • Lead production support of ticketing and project tasks
  • Maintain data integrity in all HR systems by regularly analyzing data to identify anomalies
  • Develop, maintain, produce, and analyze reports to provide insights into business questions
  • Ensure all HR related systems are compliant with data protection laws
  • Provide system expertise and technical mentorship for the People Solutions team
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or equivalent relevant experience required; emphasis in Human Resources or Human Resources Information Systems preferred
  • At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, HR information systems or HR information technology required
  • At least three (3) years of Workday experience required; experience implementing HR and/or Payroll systems preferred
  • Workday Pro certification in HCM Core and/or Security preferred

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE)

  • Proficient knowledge of HCM systems like Workday, UKG, SAP HCM, etc)
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Excel and Outlook; advanced knowledge of Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.) preferred
  • Extensive background working within core functional areas in Human Resources
  • Proficient knowledge of Workday integrations, report writing, and business processes (EIBs, Studio, core connectors)
  • Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrated capacity for gathering/scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
  • Ability to assertively solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist

Compensation Range $110,000-$160,000 USD
