Senior Electrical Test Systems Engineer

Advantest Test Solutions, Inc. (ATS) is looking for a Senior Electrical Test Systems Engineer to join our team in Irvine, CA. ATS is a leading provider of massively parallel electronic test systems that includes System Level Test (SLT), burn in and semiconductor/module tests. ATS has an exciting line of high-performance test systems that support the semiconductor industry around the world. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, proactive, hands-on and able to work successfully in a stimulating engineering and manufacturing environment.

This individual will be responsible for architecting, developing and implementing complex electronic test systems that are used for production test and characterization of semiconductor devices and modules. This role participates in a broad range of tasks including working with the business development team to propose compelling test solutions to customers and leading technical teams to develop and implement the solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• In response to a customer requirement, the candidate will lead a cross-functional team to develop creative, cost-competitive solutions.
• Participate in key areas of the design.
• Interface with Test Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure that the early pilot units meet all requirements and ship on time.
• Ensure that technical reviews occur in accordance with company processes.
• Investigate emerging technologies and develop concepts for future products.
• Support proposal preparation and new business development efforts.
• Develop complex specifications, statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets.
• Technically manages key suppliers that are critical to project success. This includes assisting in source selection, participating in supplier design reviews, etc.
• All other duties as assigned.
