Receiving Inspector

JobPurpose:

The Receiving Inspector is responsible for insuring that raw material, components, and other production material meets specifications per drawings, data sheets, and other reference material prior to transfer to stores.

Nature ofDuties:

Must accurately read and comprehend material specifications and drawings.

Record inspection results in Oracle database and maintain accurate hard-copy records

Process discrepant material using nonconformance forms, inform purchasing of non-conformance

Accountable for stopping material from release when quality requirements are not met and immediately notify their Group Leader or Supervisor of same

Amiable to changes in work requirements pertaining to workload, priorities, training, etc. May also support in-process duties when needed,

Education and Experience:

  • Aminimum of 2-4 years Receiving Inspection and electronic assembly inspection experience.
  • High school (or equivalent) education.
  • Must be proficient in basic inspection tools, i.e.; micrometer, calipers, pin gages, optical inspection tools including optical comparator, microscope, etc.
  • Working knowledge or certification in IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610 and similar workmanship standards.
  • Must be proficient in inspection techniques using various inspection tools and equipment to make this determination.
  • Must have a self-starting work ethic with little direct supervision in a technical environment and follow instructions, establish priorities in the work-flow according to the strategic needs of the department.
  • Must havegood verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge with Oracle and Agile databases.
  • IPC 600 Certification preferred.
  • Familiar with measurements tools and Gauges.
  • Familiar with IPC 610 and other industry standard preferred.
