What success looks like in this role:

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Planning and execution of the Enterprise Architecture standards across Unisys by utilizing the best of current state, and help create a roadmap and execution plan for the desired future state.
    • Build a culture that drives consistency through out the software development and delivery value chain starting from requirement capturing to how we ship the final deliverable to our clients and everything in between.
    • Build a practice of InnerSource which promote sharing and reuse across business units.
    • Facilitate business units in build vs buy, off-the-shelf product or Unisys Solution Portfolio recommendations and advises on project or program methodology.
    • Provides thought leadership on architectural designs, architectural modeling, methods, COTS integration, asset management / reuse and common architectural frameworks.
    • Adheres to and promotes appropriate Unisys processes, architectural artifact requirements and architectural best practices
    • Maintains knowledge of technologies, industry trends, standards and design techniques

  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Help drive the agile Ways of Working (WoW) within the SI&A team and across Unisys.
    • Create standards for requirement management, Sprint Planning, Automated QA Testing and DevSecOps.
    • Collaborate with SME for Enterprise wide concerns like standardized logging, application performance management, MTTD, and MTTR.
    • Interface with business users to understand how their business is evolving and they need help next.
  • People Management
    • Assigns and reviews tasks, mentors junior architects and other staff, manages performance feedback, and creates development plans consistent with performing the role of project or program manager

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Bachelors Degree, with a minimum of 15 years of relevant software development and delivery experience

    o Must have experience in planning, executing and delivering software at large scale.

    o Must has experience in running agile teams consisting of business analysts,

    o Experience leading and being part of a global team

    o Has a broad understanding of diverse supporting technologies such as cloud architectures, micro-services and container-based development, DevOps and CI.CD methods.

    o Must have experience leading multi-engineering discipline proposal, implementation, and remediation teams at enterprise level.

    o Must have system engineering experience including large project requirements management, project management, cost / effort estimation, build versus buy analysis, asset management / reuse, configuration management, subcontractor management and complex solution design / architecture

    o Experience in strategic planning, business modeling, and process simulation

    o Excellent communications skills with the ability to interface with all levels of internal and client project teams with the ability to articulate Unisys portfolio and technology strategy

    o Demonstrated thought leadership through original internally or externally published material, patents, or innovations
